Creating Surveys

Create research surveys with ResearchConnectX's visual survey builder.

Getting Started

  1. Go to Surveys
  2. Click Create New Survey
  3. Enter basic information:
    • Survey title
    • Description
    • Purpose
    • Estimated completion time

Survey Builder

Adding Questions

  1. Click Add Question
  2. Select question type:
    • Multiple Choice
    • Checkboxes
    • Text Response
    • Rating Scale
    • Likert Scale
    • Ranking
    • Matrix

Question Settings

  • Mark as required/optional
  • Add help text
  • Set validation rules
  • Add skip logic

Audience Targeting

Target Specific Researchers

Filter by:

  • Subject specialization
  • Academic position
  • Institution
  • Years of experience
  • Research interests

Distribution Settings

  • Public (open link)
  • Private (invitation only)
  • Anonymous responses
  • One response per user

Survey Settings

  • Start Date - When survey opens
  • End Date - Response deadline
  • Anonymous - Hide respondent identity
  • Show Results - Let participants see results
  • Thank You Message - Custom completion text

Publishing

  1. Review all questions
  2. Test survey
  3. Click Publish
  4. Get survey link
  5. Distribute to audience
